What's the big concern over our water ?

For years, chemicals have entered our water system as waste from the manufacturing industry, leaching from the thousands of landfill dumpsites and directly from untreated sewage disposal. Pesticides, herbicides and insecticides used in agriculture enter through seepage and normal drainage. Acid rain, which now affects us globally, continually contaminates our polar caps and surface water supplies. There have been a half-million new chemicals developed since 1965 alone. Most of these organic pollutants are modern hydrocarbon chemicals such as plastic and pesticides. Some are not biodegradable. Most are soluble in water, and thousands are known to be toxic.

Why not just drink bottled water ?

Bottled water is of course an option however little if any standards for quality or regulation exist governing the bottled water marketplace. In fact, the source water for many popular bottled water products originate from the public water utilities in cities around the country and abroad.  A growing number of Americans are turning to bottled water as an alternative to tap water. You've tried bottled water - so you know the expense and inconvenience of having to purchase a new supply every week and carry it home. Furthermore, every year millions of empty bottled water jugs are dumped in our landscape and add more waste to our environment.  Why pay a premium for public water, when you can filter your own?

What is the four step filtration Process?

FIRST, water passes through two one - micron filtration pad, small enough to remove all visible particles as well as GUARDIAN, CRYPTOSPORIDIUM and other microbiological CYSTS.

SECOND, Our filter contains a patented media, KDF(r) manufactured by KDF Fluid Treatment Inc., (http://www.kdfft.com/) which has been tested to drastically reduce or effectively remove: Chlorine, Lead, Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Selenium, Mercury, Iron and other metals that may be present in the water through a natural process of electrochemical oxidation. In fact, the dechlorination capacity of KDF medium exceeds that of an equal quantity of activated carbon by over ten-fold! It is also able to control bacteria, fungi, algae, mold and reduces lime scale. Using this layer in our filters significantly extends the life of the granular activated carbon layer of the filter described below. KDF(r) is listed under NSF standard 61 (health effects) for water treatment plant applications.

THIRD, Granular Activated Carbon is used to improve the taste and odor and to remove: Chlorine, THMs, PCBs and hundreds of other organic contaminants that may be present in the water. The GAC listed under NSF standard 42. Activated carbon has been known as a miracle filter media by many researchers because of its unique ability to remove offensive tastes, odor, color, chlorine and volatile organic chemicals, pesticides and trihalomethanes (a group of suspected carcinogens). Briefly, activated carbon acts like a sponge, with a large surface area to absorb contaminants in the water. Activated carbon is the preferred treatment and method recommended by the EPA to remove a host of potentially hazardous and possibly carcinogenic chemicals in drinking water. A partial list of chemicals that are reduced or removed by activated carbon are: Chlorobenzine (solvent and pesticide), Dioxin (chemical production by product), Ethlbenzene (used in manufacture of gasoline), Tetrachloroethylene (a dry cleaning agent), Chlordane (pesticide) and many more. These contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this unit are not necessarily in your water.

FOURTH, water flows through another two one - micron filtration pad for further reduction of undesirable particles. The end result is total elimination or great reduction of a wide variety of contaminants.

FINALLY, our filters contain a special PX Energy cell that will raise the energy level of your water above 6,500 to as high as 18,000 Bovis even as it is being filtered!

Do the filters offer protection against fluoride ?

The standard Santé water filters will remove some of the fluoride (30 to 50 percent) added to municipal water systems.  For extra protection in areas where fluoridation of the public water system is practiced, we also offer a filter offering addition protection. These filters contain a specialized high capacity synthetic absorbent media that is highly selective for fluoride as well as lead and arsenic. It removes metals through a combination of absorption and chemical reaction with the media and is not dependant upon ion exchange.

How do I determine when the filter must be replaced? ?

When the unit needs to be replaced, the flow of water will automatically either stop or slow down greatly.

Can the Santé filter get clogged or water output slows down?

Santé water filters may clog or slow down if there is too much sediment in your water. It is suggested that you back wash it.

Is there anything that does harm or destroy the products?

YES! Radiation and x-rays. This means, for example, you cannot put your mug into a suitcase if you’re traveling by air. It will be x-rayed, regardless of whether it is with you or sent on ahead of you, and it will lose all of its ability to transform your water. Instead, carry it in your hand when you go through the checkpoint, and then put it in your carry-on bag.  Metal detectors have no effect.
